Ballou (jewellery hallmark)

The back of the tie clasp is stamped BAB.  This a mark of Ballou Jewelry, established in 1876 by Barton Ballou and currently in its 5th generation of jewellery designers.

  • 1894 – B (reintroduced in 1969, but no longer used)
  • 1894 – B inside a star
  • 1908 – B.A.B. (reintroduced in 2004)
  • 1919 – Ballou (reintroduced in 1989)
  • 1938 – B inside a star with TRADEMARK arched above the star
  • 1949 – BAB
  • 1969 – B (reintroduced in 1969, but no longer used)
  • 1989 – Ballou
  • 1990 – Small Wonders (reintroduced in 2001)
  • 1996 – EZ Squeeze (stopped in 2005)
  • 2000 – Guardian
  • 2001 – Small Wonders
  • 2004 – Guardian II
  • 2004 – B.A.B.
  • 2004 – P inside a pyramid
