Foster (jewellery hallmark)

Foster Metal Products Inc was an American manufacturer of men’s jewellery, such as tie clasps and cufflinks.  Further details are still being researched.  They were registering patents in US & Canada from 1954 to 1966, and were known to still be trading in the late 1970s.  Beyond that, I’m not sure.

1958 – Foster Metal Products Incorporated – patent 2723429 1954/5, litigation 1958 (separate issue, not to do with the patent).

From 1949 to 1961 – William C Boots, assignor to Foster Metal Products Incorporated – patents 1949 to 1961.

From 1962 to 1966 – Elmer H Bennett, assignor to Foster Metal Products Incorporated – patent 1962 to 1966.

1970 – Small Business Info – loan approved 1970.

2004 – Anita M Dumont (obit2004) refers to the former Foster Metal Products in Attleboro.

2009 – Ray Plainville (obit2009) retired from Foster Metal Products in Attleboro in 1977.
